GOLF 8 Interior & Exterior details - VW Golf 2020

Looking at the #newgolf8 it soon becomes clear that the design has maintained a close link with the latest generations of the model. So no distortion of shapes and proportions, but rather a renewal of the lines and some elements, such as the new aesthetic configuration of the front grille and front light clusters. The dimensions remained the same as the previous model, even though the Golf 8 might seem lower, long and stringy. In reality the car, like the seventh generation, measures 4,284 mm in length, 1,789 mm in width and 1,456 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,636 mm. Improved aerodynamics, thanks to the new front, with the Cx reduced to 0.275.
The Volkswagen Golf 8 hides the most important innovations in the cockpit, with a strong renewal in terms of technology that gives form to interiors that are completely different from the previous generation. Inside the car to dominate the scene is the advanced Innovision Cockpit, the new all-digital instrumentation with a 10.25-inch display. Remarkable is also the reduction of physical keys replaced by touch-sensitive surfaces. While the center console appears more tidy and clean, a new digital keyboard has been positioned on the left side of the instrument panel, making it easier to manage the functions relating to lights and heating of the windscreen and rear window. Another novelty is the "shrinking" of the DSG double-clutch automatic transmission lever.
The Volkswagen #Golf8 makes important steps forward also in terms of connectivity and autonomous driving thanks to a series of new technological systems present on the car. In particular it should be noted the debut in the endowment of Car2X communication systems that "interact" with infrastructures and other vehicles in order to activate automatic regulation of safety distance and speed near intersections, roundabouts and curves. Another novelty is the introduction of the Traffic Jam Assist, capable of reducing speed automatically in the event of danger or risk of collision.
